Get Active
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to the Government consultation on Assisted Dying.
The Consultation Bias Report highlights several concerns with the wording of the consultation. You could make these concerns known to your MHKs.
Get Prayerful
Prayer is powerful, so we are calling on God's people across the Island to seek Him regularly and persistently on this matter.
So far, we have two opportunities to pray with other Christians:
- Every Tuesday morning, 8am to 8.30am, at the Well, Broadway (next door down from Broadway Baptist Church, Douglas).
If you sign up to our mailing list below, you will receive weekly prayer pointers, which can be used in your private prayers, and will also form the basis of the weekly prayer gatherings.
Some people have committed to fasting each Tuesday as part of humbling ourselves and seeking God on this matter. We would be delighted if others sense and respond to God's invitation to do the same.
"The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective" (The Bible: James 5:16 - NRSV)
